Quantopian is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student intern to help expand our body of quantitative research. The intern will produce research and strategies based on existing quantitative finance research. We will share each of these projects publicly with the Quantopian community. Additionally, the intern will help the Quantopian community after publication of these implementations, answering questions and encouraging further engagement with the Quantopian platform.
While writing these algorithms, you will certainly come up with ideas on how to improve the Quantopian platform. We are very interested in your contributions of this type as well.
Work can be done partly from the Quantopian office in either Boston's Downtown Crossing or New York City's SoHo. Compensation is an hourly rate. This is a full-time internship and promising candidates will be considered for full-time internships or employment in the future.
You must have programming skills, including some Python and Pandas experience. Knowledge of financial markets and trading is beneficial. The ideal candidate is looking for a career in quantitative finance, though this is not required. The candidate must be self-motivated, have good problem-solving skills, have a can-do attitude, and have the ability to work without close supervision.
