Growth Science Intern

Boston, Massachusetts, United States Part-time Allows remote

Quantopian is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student intern to help expand and improve our analytics framework. This role requires a strong working knowledge of quantitative topics, strong statistics skills, and strong Python skills. Knowledge of finance or trading is beneficial, but not required. The candidate must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and have the ability to work without close supervision.

Growth at Quantopian works to understand how users find the site and register, and how they behave once they're here. Based on this the team creates and tests hypotheses about what changes might benefit user acquisition and help users produce great algorithms. The growth intern will help run analyses of our data, think of hypotheses, perform experiments, and analyze results in a statistically rigorous manner. There will be opportunities to work closely with many teams, as well as a large amount of hands-on statistics/data science work.

This internship will be highly educational. We expect interns to learn a large amount about git, statistics, quantitative finance, and startups. This position is part-time during the spring semester, and strong preference will be given to candidates who are based in Boston. Compensation is at an hourly rate.
