Content Intern

Quantopian is seeking undergraduate or graduate student interns to help expand and improve quantitative content. Our content is available for free to allow anybody to receive a university-class quantitative finance education. This content, including the Quantopian Lecture Series, is used by many professors and universities around the world to teach.

The role requires:
A strong working knowledge of quantitative topics
Strong statistics skills
Strong Python skills
Knowledge of finance or trading is beneficial, but not required

The candidate must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and have the ability to work without close supervision.

The production of high-quality content is the key way that we guide the Quantopian community in the development of high-quality trading algorithms. Using our analytics infrastructure, we quantify the factors that lead users to produce great algorithms and use a scientific framework to decide how best to help users learn. Tasks performed by content interns include the production of educational and hands-on quantitative research, statistical analyses of the efficacy of previous work, and the creation of various algorithmic trading strategies.

This internship will be highly educational. We expect interns to learn a large amount about git, statistics, quantitative finance, and startups. This position is part-time during the spring semester, with potential to move to a full-time internship over the summer. Strong preference will be given to candidates who are based in Boston. Compensation is at an hourly rate.
